Since the early 1990’s, Darren Casey has been a premier developer and real estate investor in San Antonio. Rather than continuing to outsource all construction management to a 3rd party General Contractor, Darren opened Baxter Contracting in 2012 for the benefit of having full control of construction operations. This enabled his development teams to achieve greater efficiencies in coordinating directly with a General Contractor sharing the same goals and objective. Since that time, Baxter has constructed numerous multi-family apartment projects, office buildings, storage facilities and charter schools for its development companies. Each of these projects contain Best-in-Class designs and craftsmanship within their marketspace.

Due to the projected growth within the Texas construction market, Baxter Contracting is actively expanding further into General Contracting and Construction Management services for numerous clients. We have equipped ourselves to accomplish this by investing in key project team members with vast experience across the spectrum of residential, commercial and federal markets that meet the mission of our Core Values.

Darren Casey
Darren Casey founded Baxter Contracting in 2012 to complement his already successful real estate development operations in South and Central Texas. Prior to 2012, Darren Casey, President and Founder of Casey Development, Ltd., began his real estate career over thirty years ago and has since become one of the most successful commercial real estate developers in the South Texas region.
Since that time, he has developed over 4,000,000 square feet of office, retail, industrial and multi-family residential properties in San Antonio, San Marcos, Austin, Colorado and California. In 2007, Casey Development closed one of the largest commercial real estate transactions in San Antonio history with the sale of an office and industrial portfolio totaling close to 1 million square feet.
​Aside from being President of Casey Development and Baxter Southwest, Mr. Casey is also a co-owner of Erna-Frac Sand, L.C., a frac sand mining operation based in Mason, Texas that supplies API hydraulic fracturing sand to the Eagle Ford Shale and Permian Basin.
